Yoga & Acrobatics for Kids

Hatha Yoga is the foundation of most common Yoga styles that involves Asana (poses). Starting with Surya Namaskars (Sun Salutes)- the body warms up. The teacher will then guide you through a series of Asanas (poses) that each have their own therapeutic benefit, but combine to leave you stretched out, destressed and totally relaxed.Β
This class is suitable for all levels
This class combines Yoga Asanas into flowing routines. This keeps the body warm and moving which benefits agility, fitness and coordination.Β
Our flow classes cover: Surya Namaskar (salutes); standing poses; deep long stretches; backbends; inversions and some fun challenges.Β

The aim of this course is to have fun while getting fit and strong learning some of Yoga and Gymnastics most enjoyable skills.
Mastering handstands and backbends has just as much to do with eliminating fear, opening your mind and embracing challenges, as it does benefiting every aspect of your physical body.

To master handstands and backbends, you will need:
strong core
strong, agile shoulders
flexibility in hamstrings
strong, agile spine
an understanding of biomechanics
to eliminate your fear
Each Week, we work on:
20 minutes warm up
30ish mins- the focus area of the week
30ish mins- application of the focus area to improving handstands and backbends.

The most fun way to stay Fit and Agile. Our Acro-Fit classes include a fitness circuit warm up; flexibility & stretching then features fun acrobatics & gymnastics drills and skills. (handstands/ cartwheels/ rolls/ equipment work).
