This class assumes you are well versed in all Asana Basics and they don’t need to be taught to you.
It’s actually a practice with the teacher so if you are working on: progressive versions of regular Asanas; inversions; backbending; acroyoga; arm balances etc- you will love these classes.
Class typically starts with about 15 minutes of Kundalini Breathwork; then around 50-65 minutes of strong asana practice (depending on duration of class) then 10 minutes of pranayama and meditation.
Current Practice Times:
Bondi Junction: Fridays 6- 7:10am; Sunday 8-9:30am
Annandale: Saturdays 7:15- 8:45am
Amanda has been teaching Hatha Yoga since 1997. Her style reflects the Iyengar; Ashtanga & Dharma Yoga training she has practiced for most of her life, plus her own personal work on mobility and agility.
Amanda’s practice revolves around keeping her body and mind fit and strong enough to not only teach children from 2- 18yrs old day in and out & run two Yoga Studios but also mother her own two rambunctious children!
As well as the Asana components of her practice being quite physically demanding, she always leaves time for purifying pranayama; inspirational sankalpa (intention setting); meditation and relaxation.
